In 1955 former District Administrator Franz Plasser founded the Upper Austrian dwelling house building association, whose object in view was: to build dwelling houses for scholars, Students and Trainees that could even be afforded by the middle class people.
This social engagement should give Teenagers the possibility and for that the same chance to get a proper education, besides the regular School- or Vocational school centers.
The Upper Austrian dwelling house building association is today one of the largest dwelling house preservers with a number of 7 residential homes on 4 locations (Linz, Wels, Braunau and Ried im Innkreis).
Over 80 people are currently working for the Upper Austrian dwelling house building association for the momentarily existing 1.380 spaces for Pupils, Students and Trainees. |
